Engage the Experts to Solve your Unique Problems
Not every problem admits a one-size-fits-all solution. Do you have a measurement problem requiring analysis in a difficult place? Do you need a creative solution, perhaps measuring both molecular and elemental properties? Do you need to measure physical properties?Photon Machines was born with innovation in its blood. Co-founded by former tenured University of California engineering professor Dr. Steve Buckley and laser ablation pioneer John Roy, Photon Machines has attracted the “right stuff” to solve your unique problems. Dr. Gregg Lithgow (from NRC Canada) leads LIBS development, while Kregg Philpott (formerly US Army Night Vision) builds custom electronics and programming solutions. Jamie Barbula (formerly Big Sky Lasers) designs innovative and lasting opto-mechanical solutions, while Dr. Steve Shuttleworth (joining from Varian, Inc.) provides grounding in laser ablation and photonics applications. Along with our engineering staff, this team has experience in LIBS, photofragmentation, fluorescence, and absorption spectroscopy. We would love to solve your

Tough Solutions
The right kind of experience can make the difference. Photon Machines staff have made LIBS measurements in glass plants (shown at right), in manufacturing environments, and on incinerator smokestacks. We have measured gases in operating engines, turbines, and hypersonic test environments. We understand not only how to make instruments work in the lab, but also how to make measurements work in the real world.
Numerous options exist for customized LIBS and other spectroscopic solutions. Please call us for details.
